From my experiences as a student-athlete and as an educator, I’ve learned valuable lessons along the way. I’ve learned to always carry a pen and a notebook to class and, or to a meeting.
I’ve learned that the decisions we make today have consequences tomorrow. And making choices and choosing wisely can change your life. I’ve learned that winners never quit and excuses are tools of the incompetent who build castles made of nothing.

I’ve learned that thinking outside the box is contrary to staying in your lane. Grief is real and words have meaning. I’ve learned that procrastination kills your dreams, but moving in the positive can make them come true. Risk has rewards, our potential is limitless, trust is earned, and love is…
I’ve learned that they said, we’ll see, and you never know have different connotations. I’ve learned that social media has replaced social interaction, and texting is preferred over voice phone calls. I’ve learned that laughter is good, you can’t run away from yourself, and we are more alike than we are different.
But more importantly, I’ve learned that God is good!
These things I’ve learned…what have you learned?
